Pleasure House Point Natural area, Va Beach
I devoted a whole Blog post to this amazing location so if you want to know every single detail about this hidden beauty read HERE. This natural area is absolutely exceptional thanks to the flattering sunset light and unique environment. It’s a perfect mix of beach and nature vibe!
Pleasure House point aka Brock enviromental center became #1 location for most photographers in Virginia Beach. Maybe you or your friend had their photos taken here and chances are they are absolutely in love with them!
Sandbridge & Back Bay Wildlife refuge
I can’t hide the fact that beach is my absolutely favorite place to shoot at! If I had to choose one beach in Virginia Beach it would definitely be Sandbridge beach. The fishing pier at Little Island park is so picturesque and if you are staying at one of the villas on the beach there is no better and more convenient spot for your family vacation pictures.
Secondly, you can choose a pristine wildlife refuge called Back Bay. It’s just 5 minute drive from all the hustle and bustle of Sandbridge. I 100% recommend to meet here! This park hides an amazing untouched sandy beach with huge skies and breathtaking sunsets. It’s a hidden gem and not many people know about this beauty. I would love to show you around!
Norfolk Botanical garden
Not a beach fan? No problem! There are so many more wonderful places to have your family photos taken at all year round! Norfolk Botanical gardens are absolutely amazing. Well maintained garden where there are always some trees and flowers in bloom (except couple winter months:) and don’t forget the beautiful greenhouse that is just a perfect stop to take few photographs.
If you are a member you get 1 photo permit per year for free! All you have to do is reserve your time slot at the customer service in advance.
Bells Mill Park, Chesapeake
Less is more! This is the best location for a fall family photo shoot in Chesapeake area. Do you love simplicity, open skies, sun filtered through tall trees and privacy during your session? Bells Mill park is the right place for you, especially if you are planning a fall family session, that’s when this park looks the best!
You can conveniently park right at the edge of the park and that’s where we will start taking your photographs. Later we will walk 5-10 minutes to either side of the natural area. Both are beautiful and my favorite time of the year is when the grass is overgrown. Please note that are only mobile bathrooms at the park.
Freemason historic district, Norfolk
Try something new! This is the city’s oldest neighborhood with tree-lined cobblestone roads, beautiful historic houses and water views. This location will add lots of value to your photo session as it will forever remind you a specific place where you live or visited. It’s not “just” a general beach or park.
Freemason district is located close to Pagoda park which is super pretty to stop by and take few photos as well. Plan for a nice dinner after your session since you are already dressed up! I have Norfolk restaurants recommendations for you. :)
