When is the best time to book a homecoming session?

It’s never too early! You can book me as your homecoming photographer as soon as your spouse leaves for a deployment. The closer the homecoming, the more spouses will be looking for a photographer and I can only book one family per squadron/ ship/ command. I totally understand you don’t have a date yet, and even when you have the date, I know this date is going to change about 10x. It’s all good, don’t feel bad or sorry for bombarding me with new and new dates, I need to stay in the loop. :) Thanks to our family situation, I am super flexible right now and I acknowledge that you will have the date and time at the very last minute.

What if I have to reschedule and you are not available?

I do my very best to accommodate you no matter how many times they have changed the date of your homecoming but sometimes I can be gone traveling or have another booking that can’t be rescheduled. Here is the good news! We have a huge photographers’ network here in Hampton Roads and I will help you to find a new available colleague of mine. Of course, the deposit will be fully refunded, in case I am unable to take your photos.

What should I wear for my homecoming photos?

You can either compliment your hero’s uniform color, that might be some shade of green, khaki, navy blue…whatever uniform you know he will be wearing. And I ensure you your photos will look absolutely gorgeous! Or you can match the colors of American flag! White or Red or Blue are the colors that will look fantastic because I bet you there will be some flags popping up in the background and I would love you wave a little American flag on some of your photos as well. Patriotic and theme clothes works well for an occasion like this.

• Is your homecoming happening on a runway/at a hangar? Don’t forget, it’s super windy out there! If you are wearing a short flowy dress, it is going to blow in the wind.

• Be ready to run! High heels are great and beautiful and will you be able to run to your partner’s arms?

• I have a clear umbrella ready for you in case of rainy day!

What if my husband comes back home on a commercial flight?

Fly-ins and ships’ arrivals are breath-taking and so photogenic BUT you don’t need that to have your Homecoming photos taken and to receive a beautiful and meaningful gallery. Is your husband arriving by himself on a commercial flight? That’s ok! It does not change your feelings and I will be there to document the first moments you see each other. Maybe he comes home by car. I can wait in front of your house too! No matter how your reunion looks like, it deserves to be documented.

What is the price of your Homecoming package and what will I get?

My military homecoming package is $600.
